USA Baseball announced on Tuesday its coaching staff and evaluators for the 2017 17U National Team Development Program.

Eric Kibler–the 2010 USA Baseball Coach of the Year–has been tabbed to lead the staff as the field coordinator for the second straight year and fourth year overall.

Joining Kibler’s staff are longtime UNC head coach Mike Fox and former Clemson head coach Jack Leggett–who will serve as managers for the Stars and Stripes teams, respectively.

Fox has won over 800 games during his 19 seasons in Chapel Hill, including six trips to the College World Series.

Over the course of the event–which will run from July 22-28 in Chicago–coaches will evaluate 40 players. These players are identified and invited to the Windy City based on their performance in the 2017 17U National Team Championships in Arizona and Florida, and through recommendations from scouts, coaches and the amateur baseball community.

The intrasquad scrimmages between the Stars and Stripes will take place at Northwestern University and at Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs.

Also included as part of the program are skill development sessions, off-field education seminars and exposure to both professional scouts and college recruiters.
