Former UNC forward Justin Jackson was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 15th pick in the NBA Draft on Thursday night.
The Kings traded with the Portland Trailblazers to acquire the pick and select Jackson.
Jackson left UNC after his junior year when he won Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year honors and was a consensus first-team All-American while leading Carolina to the 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.
Jackson is the 48th UNC player to be chosen in the first round of the NBA Draft, according to the university.
Jackson’s jersey will be honored in the rafters of the Dean Smith Center.
