For the fifth time this season, the UNC football team is scheduled to have a noon kickoff time–as the ACC announced Monday that the Tar Heels’ home game against Wake Forest on Nov. 14 will begin in the early slot.
For many UNC fans, this represents a return to normalcy. The Tar Heels went through the entirety of last season without having a single game start at noon.
Should the Tar Heels defeat Duke this weekend, the game against Wake Forest will give them a chance to have wins over all three in-state conference opponents this season–thus earning the mythical state title.
To this point, Wake Forest and UNC have posted identical 4-2 records. Neither team is ranked in the AP Top 25.
