The Tallahassee Quarterback Club revealed Thursday that UNC wide receivers Dyami Brown and Dazz Newsome were each selected to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is awarded each year to the top wide receiver in college football.
Brown was a Third-Team All-ACC selection in 2019 after leading the Tar Heels with 1,034 receiving yards and tying the school record with 12 touchdown catches.
Newsome, meanwhile, earned a Second Team All-ACC nod after leading UNC with 72 receptions. He also had 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns, making he and Brown the first duo in Tar Heel history to each gain 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
With sophomore quarterback Sam Howell back for his second season throwing to his two favorite receivers, expectations are sky-high for the UNC offense in 2020.
