Collegiate Baseball magazine released its annual Preseason Top 40 poll on Monday, with UNC sitting at No. 13 to begin the 2020 regular season.

The Tar Heels are one of seven ACC teams ranked in the poll, joining No. 1 Louisville, No. 4 Miami, No. 15 Florida State, No. 16 NC State, No. 17 Wake Forest and No. 28 Georgia Tech. 

UNC is coming off of a successful season in which it hosted an NCAA Super Regional before ultimately falling to Auburn in the deciding third game with a shot at the College World Series on the line.

This season’s Tar Heels begin the season on Feb. 14 against Xavier, and will play 16 of their first 19 games within the friendly confines of Boshamer Stadium.
