When UNC takes the floor in Tallahassee on Monday night against the No. 5 Florida State Seminoles, it will do so without the services of senior guard Brandon Robinson–who will miss the game after suffering a sprained right ankle in the Tar Heels’ loss to Boston College on Saturday.

Robinson was hurt with 17 seconds remaining in the aforementioned loss, as he came down on Jared Hamilton’s foot while contesting a three-pointer. The play was crucially called a foul on Robinson–allowing Boston College to take the lead–despite video evidence maybe showing otherwise.

X-rays taken after the game were negative, but the injury will still cause Robinson to miss his sixth game of the season.

Robinson has missed time for various ailments throughout the year, including spraining the same ankle during UNC’s exhibition game against Winston-Salem State–an injury that cost him the team’s first four games of the year.

The Georgia native was also involved in a car accident in Chapel Hill on Jan. 11, causing neck soreness that kept him out of the Tar Heels’ double-overtime loss at Virginia Tech on Jan. 22.

For the season, Robinson has averaged 13.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in over 31 minutes per game.
