While we are in the heart of the UNC basketball season, the short-lived offseason for Carolina football came to a close on Monday.
The 2016 version of the Tar Heel football team took the field at Kenan Stadium at six o’clock Monday morning for what has been dubbed “Blue Dawn.” Next year’s version of the Carolina football team will be looking to build on one of the most successful seasons in UNC football program history as the Tar Heels went 11-3 and won the ACC Coastal Division before losing to Clemson in the ACC Championship Game and Baylor in the Russell Athletic Bowl.
Carolina Blue and 247 Sports’ Ross Martin spoke with WCHL’s Blake Hodge about what exactly Blue Dawn is and what he expects to see over the next few weeks from the Carolina football team.
The official UNC football spring game is slated for three o’clock in the afternoon on April 16. Admission is free.
