CHAPEL HILL– The Carolina men’s basketball team, 8-3 on the season, is ranked No. 19 in both the AP poll and the USA Today Coaches poll released Monday.
Following the Tar Heels’ loss against Texas and overtime win versus Davidson, UNC slid down one spot in the coaches’ poll and four slots in the AP poll.
Arizona remains the top team in the nation in both national rankings with an 11-0 record.
As for the ACC, undefeated Syracuse sits right behind Arizona in both polls at No. 2. The Orange even received a pair of first place votes in the AP poll.
9-2 Duke resides at No. 9 in the AP and No. 8 in the Coaches’ while Florida State just missed making the Top 25 with 23 votes.
As for the women, the Tar Heels have now moved to No. 10 in the AP poll. UNC went 3-0 in their games over the last week to continue its march back up the rankings.
