Behind 21 points from senior forward Luke Maye, UNC emerged with a 90-82 win over NC State in Raleigh. The Wolfpack led several charges, but Carolina was able to sustain a lead for the majority of the game. It was Roy Williams’ 34th career win over NC State and also gives the Tar Heels a 2-0 start in ACC play.

Carolina returns to action on Saturday, January 9 against Louisville with tip-off set for 12:00 p.m. The Cardinals (10-4) play Pittsburgh tonight before taking on the Tar Heels.
