Two exhibition matches are scheduled with Campbell in Chapel Hill on August 10 and on the road against UNC-Wilmington on August 16. The season begins in earnest when the Tar Heels travel down south to visit UAB on August 22 at 7 p.m. The home opener is scheduled for the following Sunday, August 25 against Cal Baptist at 7:30 p.m. It’s the first of four consecutive non-conference home matches, with Florida International, East Tennessee State and St. John’s each also visiting Dorrance Field.
Carolina opens the ACC schedule when it visits Duke on September 13 at 7 p.m. The Tar Heels will follow one rivalry matchup with another when they host NC State on September 20. Other notable ACC matches include a visit to reigning national champion Clemson on October 4 and last year’s national runners-up Notre Dame on October 11. Carolina will play ACC newcomers Cal and Stanford, hosting the Golden Bears on September 28 and visiting the Cardinal on October 27. The regular season concludes with Senior Night against Boston College on November 1.
