
The UNC men’s soccer program announced its schedule for the 2025 season, which begins in August.
The Tar Heels will play a pair of exhibition matches before officially opening the season. First, UNC visits Campbell on August 9 before hosting VCU at Dorrance Field on August 15. The regular season begins with three consecutive home matches, as UCF (August 21), Seattle (August 24) and Evansville (August 28) all come to Chapel Hill. Carolina’s first true road matchup of the season sees the Tar Heels visit Charleston on September 1.
UNC opens ACC play with a road rivalry matchup at NC State on September 5. Other key ACC fixtures include home matchups with Wake Forest (September 12) and SMU (September 20), visits to Virginia (September 27) and Syracuse (October 25) and a home date against rival Duke in the regular-season finale (October 31). Other non-conference fixtures include a home date with Memphis (September 16), a rare road match at Lipscomb (October 7) and a home date with UAB (October 15).

UNC finished the 2024 season with a 9-4-5 overall record before falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The 2025 season will be the program’s 15th under head coach Carlos Somoano.
