
The UNC men’s lacrosse program announced its schedule for the 2026 regular season Friday morning.
UNC begins on the road with a visit to Towson on Sunday, Feb. 1 before returning to Chapel Hill for a four-game homestand. The Tar Heels will host Jacksonville (Feb. 7), High Point (Feb. 13), Iona (Feb. 15) and Johns Hopkins (Feb. 20) at Dorrance Field. Carolina then faces three consecutive Ivy League teams in Penn (Feb. 27 on the road), Princeton (March 1 on the road) and Brown (March 7 at home) before traveling to Charlotte to face Penn State in a neutral-site matchup in The Crown Lacrosse Classic on March 14. The Tar Heels wrap up the non-conference slate with a home date against Army (March 21) and a neutral-site game against Harvard (March 29 in Severn, MD).
UNC will face the other four ACC teams in April, beginning with a home date against Syracuse on April 4. Carolina will then travel to Notre Dame (April 11) and Virginia (April 18) before finishing the regular season at Dorrance Field against Duke on April 25. The ACC Tournament begins in Charlotte on May 1.

The Tar Heels are looking to build on a 2025 season which saw the team qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021. Stars Owen Duffy and Dominic Pietramala, the team’s two top scorers from a year ago, both return in 2026, as does head coach Joe Breschi. UNC has won five national championships, with the most recent coming in 2016, and has appeared in 14 Final Fours.
