The UNC basketball team’s plans for Las Vegas took a turn this week, with No. 4 UCLA being forced to cancel its game with Carolina, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. Now, UNC will face No. 21 Kentucky instead. The Wildcats had their game with Ohio State cancelled due to COVID protocols within the Buckeyes’ program. Carolina defeated Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic last season.

If you aren’t making the trip out west for the game, here’s how to follow along at home:

Broadcast Schedule

Those hoping to listen on the radio with Jones Angell on the call can do so at 97.9 FM and 1360 AM, or by streaming the radio broadcast on Chapelboro.com.

97.9 The Hill’s radio coverage of the game will begin at 4 p.m. with Countdown to Tip-Off With Brighton McConnell.

At 4:30 p.m., the broadcast will shift over to Jones Angell and the Tar Heel Sports Network for their pregame coverage until tip-off. They will also carry postgame coverage for approximately an hour after the conclusion of the game.

All of these broadcasts will be available live on the radio or by streaming on Chapelboro.com.

TV Schedule

The game will be broadcast on CBS. Television coverage will start at 3 p.m. The Triangle’s local CBS affiliate is WNCN. As of today, DirecTV, Xfinity, Dish Network and Spectrum all carry CBS.

What if I don’t have cable?

A live stream will be available on CBS’s online platforms. You must enter your television provider for access. Additionally, several cord-cutting options carry CBS.

YouTube TV and Hulu TV are both $65/month and carry CBS. DirecTV STREAM carries CBS, but is slightly more expensive at $70/month.

Xfinity/Comcast is currently listed at $55/month and carries CBS, but does not currently carry ACC Network. A deal is in place to add the channel to Xfinity, but it has not been finalized.

Sling TV is the cheapest at $35/month for the Orange package. Make sure to avoid Sling Blue, as that package does not carry ESPN. For more information about Sling’s coverage of local channels such as WNCN, click here.
