The Wells Fargo Championship announced Monday that its annual Pro-Am event on May 5 will be declared as Roy Williams Day.

Played at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte each year, the prestigious PGA Tour event will be held from May 3-9 in 2021.

Williams–who just recently announced his retirement after 33 years as an NCAA Division I head coach–will compete in the Pro-Am alongside UNC head football coach Mack Brown. The Hall-of-Famers are teaming with PGA veterans Davis Love III and Gary Woodland.

Love is a former UNC star who amassed 21 career wins on the PGA Tour and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. He will team with Williams and Brown for the back nine in the event.

Woodland, meanwhile, is a former Kansas Jayhawk who won the 2019 U.S. Open and has four career PGA Tour wins since turning pro in 2007. He will play with Williams and Brown for the front nine at Quail Hollow.

The tee time for this star-studded grouping will be determined the week of the tournament.

Attendance for the event will be limited to 30 percent of the club’s maximum capacity.
