Making his first ever playoff start on Thursday night, former Orange High School star Bryse Wilson was outstanding as he helped guide the Atlanta Braves to a 10-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series in Arlington, Texas.

Wilson–a rookie who pitched just 15.2 innings during the regular season–threw six innings while allowing just one run and one hit against a Dodger team which has had the best offense all season long.

He became just the second rookie pitcher in MLB history to start his postseason debut and allow one hit or less through six innings.

The Braves’ fourth-round pick in 2016 coming out of high school, Wilson seemed unfazed by the pressure of the moment–stealing the show from future Hall-of-Famer Clayton Kershaw, who started on the mound for Los Angeles.

With the win, Atlanta took a 3-1 series lead and is now a single victory away from reaching the franchise’s first World Series since 1999.
