Three high school soccer teams from the Chapel Hill-Carrboro district will play in the state quarterfinals in their respective classifications on Saturday. Two of them will play at home.

The East Chapel Hill Wildcats will travel to Wilmington in a match against Ashley High on Saturday night in the state 4-A playoffs. The Wildcats defeated D.H. Conley 3-nil on Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals. East is led by senior Ralph Nayo, who has scored 19 goals this season. Junior Taylor Greeno has added 13 goals and four assists.

In the 3-A State Playoffs, Chapel Hill will be at home to face Southern Lee Saturday night at 6. The Tigers are 22-2 this season. Led by senior forward Sam Linker’s 15 goals, the Tigers won the Big 8 Conference championship under head coach Jason Curtis.

The Carrboro Jaguars have also advanced to the state quarterfinals in the state 2-A playoffs. The Jaguars scored two goals in 48 seconds on Wednesday to defeat East Duplin 3-2. Nick Jones had two goals.

On Saturday night at 7, Carrboro will host Washington at Jaguars Stadium.
