UNC star forward Armando Bacot is a man of many talents. Aside from being named first team All-ACC in 2022 and helping his team advance to the national title game, Bacot has seen his off-the-court influence grow exponentially since the season ended. The big man has several NIL deals to profit from, will be appearing in episodes of the popular Netflix series “Outer Banks,” and now can say he’s thrown a pitch in a Major League Baseball stadium.
Bacot spent his Friday night in Baltimore, where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Camden Yards before the Orioles’ game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Bacot grew up just a few hours away from Baltimore in Richmond, VA. His NIL deal with the Baltimore-based restaurant Jimmy’s Famous Seafood helped secure his position as ceremonial first pitch-thrower. The restaurant, which has become known for its rabid support of the Tar Heels on social media, couldn’t resist throwing a jab at Duke fans in attendance during the game.

It truly is the Summer of Bacot. No word yet on whether Scott Forbes plans on offering the big man an opportunity to walk on for the Diamond Heels.
