This month, 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck has a conversation with Eryk Pruitt, co-owner of Yonder Southern Cocktails and Brew! Yonder, “Hillsborough’s unofficial living room” according to its website, is a local favorite spot for art, hand-crafted cocktails, great beer, live music and more! Yonder used its grant to build a brand-new sound system that won’t just improve the live music experience at the bar — it also further opens the door for open mics, stand-up comedy, book readings, movie nights and a a whole lot more!
“We pride ourself as an art space,” said Pruitt. “You know, there’s lots of sports bars and we wanted to kind of offer an alternative as an art bar where we feature local artists, local musicians, local beer, and local literary events.”
From Noir at The Bar to a published magazine, partnerships with the Orange County Historical Museum and more, Yonder is a place unlike any other!
