Welcome to “Making a Splash” with Goldfish Swim School of Chapel Hill!

Every month on 97.9 The Hill, Brighton McConnell is joined by a member of the Goldfish team for a conversation about building confidence in kids, in and out of the pool. This month, listen in for a conversation with Megan Sweeten — general manager of Goldfish Chapel Hill — to talk about making the leap into competitive sports!

The Goldfish competitive team is called Swim Force, and Sweeten speaks on some of the aspects of competition and sports that parents and kids might not immediately think of when deciding to join up. Commitment and accountability are important pieces of the puzzle, as is being a team member and working well within a structure defined by others.

“It’s not about winning and losing, or being better than everyone else,” said Sweeten. “It’s about being the best version of yourself to help your team.”
