Listen below for this month’s episode of Goldfish Swim School’s Water Safety Patrol!
This month on Goldfish Swim School‘s Water Safety Patrol, listen to a conversation with Jennifer Decesari, resident of Fuquay-Varina, and parent whose children have benefitted from swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School after a traumatic incident in their neighborhood pool.
“I was sitting at a table with my back turned towards them and this totally silent event took my son under the water, and I had to rescue him. Thankfully being CPR and First Aid certified I was able to rescue him, but it caused him and his seven-year-old sister a tremendous amount of water trauma. None of us saw my son drown that day because none of us were in the moment and paying attention to the children,” explained Decesari.
“Goldfish Swim School has been really fabulous for my family… They have been incredibly patient with my children in allowing them to navigate their water fear and make it easier for them to deal with water situations…they’ve given them their water freedom back.”
Goldfish Swim School focuses on staying safe in the water with flexible, fun lessons, emphasizing confidence-building and water safety in Goldfish Swim School’s shiver-free pool, located in the heart of Chapel Hill. For more information about Goldfish’s programs, click here.
