A water main break that was first reported early Tuesday morning has been repaired more than 12 hours later.

OWASA officials says that a crew completed the repair of a water line on East Rosemary Street around 7:45 Tuesday night.

Officials say that traffic will resume later on Tuesday on a temporary surface and that a contractor is planning to start follow-up work on the roadway at nine o’clock Wednesday morning. That work will include closing the eastbound lane of East Rosemary near the work area.

OWASA officials said earlier in the day that an estimated 50 homes were without water due to the repairs.
