Local police are searching for a missing 89-year-old male who is believed to be cognitively impaired.
And the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has now issued a Silver Alert for Robert Charles Demmy, of Chapel Hill.
Demmy was last seen near Manly Drive and Tinkerbell Road, according to authorities, although it was unclear where he was going.
Demmy is 5′ 2″ tall, weighs about 140 pounds, and has short white hair and brown eyes. He is hunched over due to back surgery.
Demmy was last seen wearing a red and white seersucker style short-sleeve button-up shirt and brown shoes.
