The local ice bucket challenges are stacking up.

WCHL sportscaster Paul Connell took the plunge for his wife, Vivian, who was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) earlier this year. He, in turn, challenged Ram’s Club director of fan development, Brian Chacos–who can be hear alongside Connell on WCHL Carolina Football postgame show, On the Heels.

The tub of ice water did scare away the former offensive lineman.

The Connell family also sent out challenges to friends at Smith Middle School. Challenges accepted!
