Orange County residents can get more information regarding the planned Mountains-to-Sea Trail that will cross the county at a public information meeting Monday night.

Monday’s event will focus of the segment of the trail that will run from Hillsborough to the Haw River.

Officials say the meeting will allow an opportunity for interested residents to learn more about the proposed trail by asking staff about topics or issues of concern.

The trail has received tentative approval to pass through land owned by Orange Water and Sewer Authority.

Monday’s meeting is scheduled to be at seven o’clock Monday night at the Maple View Agricultural Education Center on Dairyland Road in Hillsborough.
