It’s another light week for local government – except in Chapel Hill, where development tops the agenda. On Monday, the Town Council will discuss next steps for the town’s “Complete Community” strategy; and on Tuesday, residents will get a chance to weigh in on the future of the Legion Road property.
Here’s a rundown of local government meetings this week in Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties.
Orange County
The Chapel Hill Town Council meets twice this week: first a closed-session meeting “to discuss a personnel matter” on Monday, November 28, at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, then a regularly-scheduled work session on Wednesday, November 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel Hill Public Library. Tops on the agenda: council members will get an update on the town’s “Complete Community” development strategy and a discussion of possible pilot projects to advance that strategy, including North Estes Drive, the Midtown Plaza area, and northern Chapel Hill near Timberlyne.
