This week in local government: Hillsborough and Durham take votes on next year’s budget, while Pittsboro hears from the public on their own budget plan. In addition, the Chapel Hill Town Council will consider a plan to lease a new police headquarters on Millhouse Road; the Orange County school board will consider school lunches and bus driver salaries; and the Durham County school board will continue its search for a new superintendent – repeatedly.
