Kelly Hogan, Director of Instructional Innovation of UNC’s College of Arts and Sciences and Senior STEM Lecturer, will be the featured speaker at Carolina’s December Commencement this Sunday.

Hogan has won many awards for her teaching style, most recently the 2015 Tanner Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

She has studied the effects of different teaching styles on the performance on students.

Hogan has pushed to make her classroom more hands-on and interactive and she teaches her methods to other Carolina professors.

The ceremony will take place at the Dean E. Smith Center on December 13, at 2 P.M.
