Nasheka Renee Clark was arrested Wednesday and held at the Orange County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond.
CHAPEL HILL – Chapel Hill Police Public Information Lieutenant Josh Mecimore says a second suspect is wanted in Friday’s shooting at the corner of West Rosemary Street and Mitchell Lane.
“The investigator in this case obtained a warrant for Nasheka Renee Clark—possibly also known as Nasheka Hamilton,” Lt. Mecimore says. “The warrant was for one felony count Accessory After the Fact for Attempted First Degree Murder. She is believed to have intimate information about the crime.”
The shooting victim’s name was released at the same time. Thirty-one-year-old Ishamel David Hamilton, Jr. is reportedly still at UNC Hospitals were he is believed to be in stable and non-life threatening condition.

Dennis Clark
Dennis Junious Clark turned himself in to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Monday. He is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder after allegedly shooting Ishamel Hamilton multiple times in the parking lot of Tate Realty and Construction and Legacy Cuts hair salon.
While the victim and second suspect share a common last name, Lt. Mecimore says the exact relationships in this case and the motive are unknown.
“I know that all three people that have been named in this have some sort of relationship—that they knew each other prior to this, it wasn’t a random incident,” Lt. Mecimore says. “I don’t know what their relationship is.”
The investigation is ongoing. Lt. Mecimore says anyone with information is asked to call 911, the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760, or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515. You can also submit a tip to Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestoppers-chcunc.org.
Anyone submitting information that leads to an arrest is eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000.
