UNC Police are investigating a report of sexual battery that occurred on Thursday morning at the Friday Center Park and Ride Lot in Chapel Hill.
According to police, a female student was walking from her car through the parking lot to catch a bus. She reported a male suspect approached and touched her inappropriately before fleeing the scene.
UNC Police searched the area, but a suspect was not located.
Police described the suspect as a black male in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, round face and a thin mustache. He was wearing light brown pants and flat-brimmed baseball cap. No weapons were reportedly seen.
The investigating is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately or contact Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515.
