Residents in Chapel Hill and Orange County will have several opportunities to get tested for COVID-19 over the weekend.
The Old North State Medical Society, a collective of African American physicians focused on advocating for better healthcare and education in vulnerable communities, is holding a free testing event this Friday in conjunction with Rogers Road Rena Community Center.
The event will take place on Friday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rogers Road Rena Community Center (101 Edgar Street, Chapel Hill). No insurance is requires, but attendees are asked to RSVP beforehand. Free food will also be provided.
Orange County Health is also holding a free testing event on Saturday, September 19. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lattisville Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
If you wish to get tested for COVID-19 and cannot make it to one of these events, Orange County Health is hosting free testing events every Wednesday in Chapel Hill. Anyone is welcome to come for a coronavirus test. Registration is on site and COVID-19 tests are free.
