The bar above Sutton’s Drug Store on East Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill known as The Strowd has closed.
Management of The Strowd said they were not able to renegotiate the terms of the lease, forcing them to close, but they added their plan is to open a new location under a new name.
The Strowd opened in March 2014 after bar management renovated and rebranded the former bar at that location, Players.
