The local literary world just got a little bit bigger.

Chapel Hill resident Adam Jones just finished his debut novel, Fate Ball – and it’s getting rave reviews. Loosely based on Jones’ own experience, Fate Ball tells the story of two lovers, Ava and Able, who meet in college and keep returning to each other through the years, even as their lives take them on completely different paths.

Fate Ball was recently published by Chapel Hill’s Wisdom House Books. (Jones says he’s been meaning to finish the book for years, but he was finally spurred to do it by his wife – who told him, “I don’t want to hear any more about that book until it’s finished.”)

Adam Jones discussed the book with WCHL’s Aaron Keck, and read an excerpt.
