Wade Sutton and Tracey Williams-Johnson join 97.9 The Hill News Director Brighton McConnell on Thursday, April 3 to discuss an upcoming handball team tryout in Chapel Hill. Sutton, who is the head coach for UNC women’s club handball team, is a regional coach and Williams-Johnson is the chair of the recruiting committee for Handball Futures — which is looking to identify talent to build a pipeline of American handball players before Team USA’s automatic bid in the sport for the 2028 Olympic Games. Williams-Johnson and Sutton share their origins in the sport and what they’re looking for in potential Team USA players, and detail the upcoming tryout on April 12 in UNC’s Fetzer Gym.
