Meghan Lassiter and Alexa Katon of the North Carolina Institute of Public Health join the Chatham County Public Health Department’s Kyle Chambers and 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell on Thursday, Apr. 23. Lassiter and Katon share details about the NC Public Health Pathways program, which just finished worked with its latest group of interns across the governmental public health ecosystem, to share how it’s helping grow the workforce. Chambers shares his department’s experience working with one of those interns, detailing their projects and what their work better allows the public health staff to do. Additionally, Lassiter and Katon discuss the New Professionals Program to better cultivate and retain newer employees in public health spaces.
