Welcome to “Making a Splash” with Goldfish Swim School of Chapel Hill!
Every month on 97.9 The Hill, Brighton McConnell is joined by a member of the Goldfish team for a conversation about building confidence in kids, in and out of the pool. May is National Swim Safety month, so Goldfish General Manager Megan Sweeten joined stopped by to share some information about the Safer Swimmer Pledge.
With Summer right around the corner, Megan reminds us that at Goldfish, “this is what we do all year round, but this is the most important time of the year for it. Every year as everybody’s preparing to get out there, we love to take this month to just highlight the importance of water safety, and why we do what we do.”
You and your little one can take the Safer Swimmer Pledge and make a difference at the same time, because for every pledge they receive, Goldfish will be “donating a dollar to the USA swimming foundation. They provide scholarships for students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford swim lessons.” Need more incentive to commit to safe swimming? You will also be entered to win a year of free swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School!
Listen below to hear all of Brighton and Megan’s conversation, including why having open communication about swim safety, even though it can be uncomfortable, is so important.
