Chair of the Orange County Commissioners Jamezetta Bedford joins 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell on Wednesday, September 20. Following a business meeting by the board, Bedford shares takeaways from a task force’s report on school safety and disruption on school grounds — saying much of the elements will be discussed further with school leaders at a joint school board meeting next week. She also discusses why the commissioners had a 2018 study back on their agenda about traffic and uses of NC-54 west of the Town of Carrboro. Plus: Bedford shares why the commissioners are doing work session on strategic planning and asks community members to share feedback to construct a county climate action plan.
