Chair of the Chatham County Commissioner Karen Howard spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Tuesday, June 6th. She discussed the county budget, which will include a tax increase in order to make compensation for county staff more competitive. She also discussed the upcoming graduation ceremonies at Chatham County Schools, which includes her own son’s graduation at Northwood High School. She concluded with a discussion of the Juneteenth festivities around Chatham County, including a new mural in downtown Pittsboro.
