The UNC basketball team is back in the top ten.
Carolina jumped to No. 7 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll. Last week, the Tar Heels ranked at No. 11.
The Tar Heels also moved up to No. 7 in the Coaches Poll.
Two strong wins helped push the UNC basketball team up in the polls. The team began the week with a 96-72 victory over Tulane in Chapel Hill. The week ended with a Carolina victory over UCLA in Brooklyn.

The UNC basketball team won without junior forward Kennedy Meeks. But, Brice Johnson stepped up. Johnson averaged 26 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in the two games. He was named National Player of the Week by CBS Sports.
Six ACC teams are ranked in the Top 25. Virginia is now the highest ranked ACC team. The Cavaliers went from No. 8 in the AP Poll last week to No. 5 this week.
Miami moved up two spots to No. 13.
Duke fell out of the top ten. The Blue Devils dropped to No 15.
Louisville remains in the Top 25. The Cardinals move up from No. 19 to No. 16.
The 9-2 Tar Heels will play one game this week.
Appalachian State comes to the Dean Smith Center on Monday for an in-state game at 7 PM.
