WHUP Kicks Off Fall Fundraising Season with Murder Mystery Dinner at the Historic Colonial Inn

WHUP 104.7 FM, Hillsborough’s independent community radio station, is kicking off its fall fundraising season with an evening of mystery, murder, dinner and plenty of fun on Saturday, October 17, at the historic Colonial Inn in Hillsborough.

Guests are invited to step into a world of intrigue for an immersive Murder Mystery Dinner, where a delicious dinner, drinks, clues and unexpected twists come together for an unforgettable night in support of community radio.

The evening will feature a professionally produced murder mystery experience designed to keep guests guessing from the moment they arrive. Attendees will enjoy a full 3 course dinner, drinks, and an evening of entertainment, with opportunities to participate in the mystery—or simply sit back and watch the drama unfold.

And, of course, there may be a murderer among us.

“We wanted to kick off our fall fundraising season with something that feels uniquely Hillsborough: creative, social, a little quirky and a whole lot of fun,” said WHUP Station Manager Danielle Rose. “WHUP is powered by our community, and events like this give people an opportunity to come together, have a great night out and directly support the station they love.”

Proceeds from the evening will benefit WHUP 104.7 FM, helping support the station’s ongoing mission to provide independent, locally focused radio programming to Hillsborough and the surrounding community.

WHUP is a volunteer-powered, independent nonprofit radio station dedicated to amplifying local voices, music, arts, culture and community happenings.
