Two Brains
Constitutions as Living Documents: Promises, Procedures, and Possibilities
September 18, 2025 | Curated with Carolina K-12
Constitutions evolve, as does our understanding of the systems of governance and rights that they establish. We will look at both the Federal and North Carolina constitutions and ask: How do we live our lives differently because of these documents? Are the rights they express as inalienable and just as they could be? How can the histories behind our founding documents inform the future of our civil society?
This special, free Two Brains program is a collaboration with Carolina K-12 and the North Carolina School of Science and Math. We hope students, educators, and the public will join us for the conversation.
