Gen Z Reads Animal Farm

Gen Z Reads Animal Farm isa live read-aloud of George Orwell’s classic yet timely novella by local high schoolers at Epilogue Books on Friday, November 21, at 5:30 PM. The event is part of Fall of Freedom, a nationwide weekend of creative resistance to rising authoritarianism in America. (The New York Times has written about Fall of Freedom here.) Students from Chapel Hill High School, Carrboro High School, and East Chapel Hill High School will join authors Melissa Faliveno and Alison B. Hart for a read-through of the satiric fable about a farm rebellion that turns dystopic, where “all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”
