Free Community Recycling Event

Free recycling event March 22, 1-4pm, Carrboro High School parking lot. Time to dispose of those electronics you’ve already replaced or you’re finally ready to part with. East Chapel Hill Rotary Club is partnering with Carrboro High School Interactors and Anything With A Plug for this event.

Items you may recycle: cell phones, tablets, iPods, ear buds, computers*, monitors, copiers, printers, scanners, vacuum cleaners, gas or electric lawn mowers, gas or electric leaf blowers and trimmers, gas and electric power tools, e-cigarettes, small kitchen appliances, shredders, fax machines, flat screen TVs, stereos, chargers, cords, cables, batteries, camp stoves, CPAP machines, electric toothbrushes.

Items you may not recycle: CRT type TVs, large appliances or grills, projection TVs, light bulbs, styrofoam, wood items, smoke alarms, magnetic film, photographic film, mattresses.

*If you would like a certificate for hard drive destruction, one will be available for $5.
