Location:

Vault Theatre

Description:

This well-known Oscar Wilde play will be performed in the style of a 90’s sitcom! Our characters will be larger than life, much like some of the personalities from the iconic shows of the 1990s.

“Earnest” follows two best friends with double lives. Their alter egos—both named Ernest—lead to a series of hilarious misunderstandings and identity mix-ups. The show explores themes of identity, family pressure, and the lengths people go to keep up appearances. After all, “to be natural is such a very difficult pose to keep up.”

Blue Box Theatre Company’s Mission: With our growing company, we will dedicate our time and passion to creating a safe, inspiring space for creative artists to hone their craft and find a sense of collaborative community.
