Shady will present graffiti concepts and photos, and facilitate small group discussion. We will then work on individual or group projects related to creating public art.

This month’s theme is inspired by the 2011 book “Abstract Graffiti” by Cedar Lewisohn: Addressing such issues as street art as a form of protest, graffiti as a crime, the place of street art in museums, and the evolution of materials, this book offers unrivaled insight into some of the most exciting and challenging work on the contemporary art scene.

BAC is a meetup for new artists, non-artists, and those that love to create. We focus on the creative process of making art and are open to all skill levels. All supplies provided. For ages 10 . This class is provided for free to participants thanks to funding from the Orange County Arts Commission and in-kind donation of space from The ArtsCenter.
