2022 Film Fest 919

Film Fest 919 once again brings its signature event back to The Triangle October 19-23, 2022.  Celebrating its 5th edition, Film Fest 919 continues to distinguish itself by offering attendees a selective program and exclusive early screenings of the season’s most critically acclaimed films. 

Riveting and heartfelt action-drama film “Devotion” kicks off the festival week on Wednesday, October 19 with a special Opening Night screening of the film, followed by an in-person Q&A with “Devotion’s” director JD Dillard. Set during the Korean War, “Devotion” tells the visceral story of the US Navy’s first Black aviator and his dedicated wingman, pilots who both confront geopolitical uncertainty and racist hostility with uncommon valor. 

Film Fest 919’s stellar line-up continues with a selection of the world’s best and top award-winning films through Closing Night Sunday, October 23rd, which culminates with a sensational Closing Night blockbuster screening – the hair-raising mystery thriller “Glass Onion,” the newest film from acclaimed filmmaker Rian Johnson, the renowned director of “Star Wars” and “Knives Out” – a spectacular final note for this year’s extraordinary festival line-up.
