Eubanks Road Waste and Recycling Center to Close for Renovations

Orange County will close the Eubanks Road Waste and Recycling Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, to begin a “significant modernization project.” The project includes a host of renovations that are expected to take about ten months, including paving the center. Installation of low-level containers will make it easier to dispose of bulky items and new trash compactors will improve the center’s capacity and efficiency. It’s a sunny, 75 degree day in Chapel Hill in the middle of February. But some UNC students and organizations aren’t enjoying the weather. “I mean, it’s nothing major.
