The UNC football program announced its full schedule for its highly-anticipated 2025 season Monday night.

Ironically, UNC’s season will begin on another Monday night. Carolina will open its season at home against TCU on Monday, September 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Kenan Stadium. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. It is the only game with a confirmed kickoff time.

According to UNC, it will be the first regular season game to be played on a Monday in program history and the first time since 1941 that Carolina hasn’t played its season opener on a Saturday. It’s also the fourth-ever meeting between the Tar Heels and Horned Frogs: Carolina won contests in 1940, 1994 and 1997.

UNC will then play three more non-conference games before beginning ACC play. First, Carolina will visit Charlotte on September 6 before hosting Richmond at Kenan Stadium on September 13. The non-conference slate concludes with the Tar Heels visiting UCF in Orlando on September 20.

After a bye week, the Tar Heels will host Clemson at Kenan Stadium on Saturday, October 4 in the ACC opener. Carolina is seeking its first win against the Tigers since 2010.

After another bye week, Carolina will travel out west for its first game against the Cal Golden Bears as conference foes. The game is scheduled for either Thursday, October 16 or Friday, October 17 in Berkeley. A home date with Virginia on October 25 follows.

On Halloween night, a Friday, the Tar Heels travel up north to visit Syracuse. Stanford visits Kenan Stadium on November 8 before Carolina visits Wake Forest the next weekend, November 15. The season concludes with a home matchup with Duke on November 22 and a visit to NC State in the regular-season finale on November 29. For a full look at the schedule, click here.

The 2025 season will be Carolina’s first under head coach Bill Belichick, the legendary Super Bowl champion who joined the program in December. Belichick replaces Mack Brown, who spent the previous six seasons in charge.
