Chapel Hill Mayor Jess Anderson joins 97.9 The Hill News Director Brighton McConnell in the studio on Thursday, July 11. She recaps the experience of having the town host the streaming hit “The Summer I Turned Pretty” as it shot season 3 around UNC campus and parts of Chapel Hill, including the resulting tourism boost. Another is expected later this month with the FC Series returning to town, and Anderson shares how the local government is preparing for the high-profile soccer friendly. Plus, the mayor details some of the latest business news from around Chapel Hill’s downtown and more of her thoughts on the recent 828 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard site assessment as part of the state’s Brownfields program.
