Can I be honest? Pumpkin Spice lattes aren’t my favorite.
With that said, I love just about everything else about fall. I love the seasonal fashion and cozy, comforting colors that surround us. I may not be Team PSL, but admittedly, I love the joy that others have when they are holding that warm coffee cup. I have fully embraced all things fall and I am looking forward to all the amazing adventures ahead.
I think that my unique love for every season has rolled over to Miles, and I personally look forward to creating traditions with him around each season. One day that Miles loves that falls in Autumn is Halloween. He loves dressing up in his costume and going trick-or-treating. I love the the wide range of simple activities that can get you in the fall mood.
In an effort to help get active and enjoy fall while it’s here, I have compiled a doable short list of fall activities that everyone in the family can enjoy:
- Go to a Pumpkin Patch: List courtesy of Carolina Parent here.
- Go Apple Picking: Perkins Orchard in Durham describes themselves as the “best place for all things Fall in North Carolina. Check them out here!
- Bake a Pie: Recipe here for a delicious Mini Sweet Potato Pecan Pies recipe by Orchids N’ Sweet Tea.
- Make a ‘thankful list ‘or a fall themed craft: Click here, because Pinterest has everything.
- Go on a fall nature walk: List of local hiking trails courtesy of Indy Week here. Don’t forget to bring home your favorite fall leaves!
- Drink Apple Cider: Recipe here for Easy Apple Cider Sangria by Rosalynn Daniels
- Have a Bonfire!
There is nothing more traditional than attending a Pumpkin Patch and while I am excited about that, one of the things I am looking forward to the most is going Apple Picking because Miles and I have never done that before.
