The Town of Chapel Hill is hosting it’s first monthly Pints & Pitches event Wednesday, which will bring together local professionals for introductions and networking opportunities.

The event is the next in a series of attempts to bolster local business in town, the most prominent of which being the LAUNCH Chapel Hill business incubator.

Mayor Pam Hemminger says promoting growth for local entrepreneurs is a priority for the town.

“We’re really building our ecosystem here,” says Hemminger. “We have a lot more coworking space. We’ve now graduated all these companies from LAUNCH, many of which are staying here now. We want people to know that we want you to grow your business here, that we want to help you do that, and that we want you to network with other people here doing the same things so you can all help each other and we can be part of that ecosystem.”

The first Pints and Pitches event is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Top of the Hill back bar.
